Build season is here, and it's almost over for those just checking in. We're in week 5 already, and boy has time flew by.
Truthfully, we are not the team we have been these past few years. This Robotics season offers it's challenges and learning opportunities like it does every season that we're still learning how to navigate, but this year just seems more difficult. Our team is falling apart, and this season we're discovering that it takes a lot of energy, time, and bickering to piece it back together. We've forgotten what it means to be a team, a Robotics team, and time is ticking to figure out how to become one again before we finish the bot and go to competition this year.
This season the business team is experimenting with a new fundraiser idea, and let me tell you...it's nerve- wracking. This new fundraiser is called Date Night, and we're hosting it at the PV Commons this Valentine's Day. We've hardly sold any tickets, and the ladies in charge are biting their nails hoping for a good turnout.
The robot is...it's coming together. I can't tell you any more because if I'm being honest, I don't understand a word they tell me when I ask what everything's about. I'll try to upload a video so you can see for yourself.
I can't say I'm feeling very inspired or inspirational towards my team members. Pep is lacking among 1332 team members.
I keep wondering...Isn't this the hardest fun we'll ever have?
Guess we have to find new ways to make that a reality again like it was in the past.
